John Mayer Dishes On Jennifer Anniston And Jessica Simpson

By: Lauren Moraski

John Mayer's entire interview with Playboy magazine is posted online, and in it, he opens up about everything from masturbation to marriage -- and goes into great detail about the sexual escapades and relationships he's had with his famous ex's -- Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston.

Here are Some Highlights:

On If He Still Loves Aniston: "Yes, always. I'll always be sorry that it didn't last. In some ways I wish I could be with her. But I can't change the fact that I need to be 32."

On What Percentage Of Battle Studies is About Aniston: "I don't want to say. I feel bad because people think 'Heartbreak Warfare'is about her. I want to go on record saying it's not. That woman would never use heartbreak warfare. That woman was the most communicative, sweetest, kindest person."

On Reason For Aniston Break-up: "There was a rumor that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn't it, but that was a big difference. The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she's still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction. And I always said, 'These are the new rules.'"

Question: You and Aniston got back together and broke up again in 2009. How many women did you sleep with in the eight months after the breakup?
Answer: "I'm going to say four or five. No more." He added, "But even if I said 12, that's a reasonable number. So is 15. Here's the thing: I get less ass now than I did when I was in a local band. Because now I don't like jumping through hoops. It's been so long since I've taken a random girl home. I don't want to have to submit myself for approval."

On Hooking Up With Simpson: "That girl, for me, is a drug. And drugs aren't good for you if you do lots of them. Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me."

On Dating Simpson: "Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm." He added, "Have you ever been with a girl who made you want to quit the rest of your life? Did you ever say, "I want to quit my life and just fuckin'snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f*** you, I would start selling all my shit just to keep f***** you."

On Wanting to Masturbate Over Meeting Someone New: "What that explains is that I'm more comfortable in my imagination than I am in actual human discovery. The best days of my life are when I've dreamed about a sexual encounter with someone I've already been with. When that happens, I cannot lay off myself."

JESSICA SIMPSON RESPONDS TO 'PLAYBOY'INTERVIEW?

Could Jesssica Simpson have been responding to all of the news stories citing Mayer's Playboy interview? On Wednesday (February 10th) afternoon, she tweeted, "interesting day so far. hmm. at least i am boxing 2-a-days this week."

JOHN MAYER CRITICIZED FOR REMARKS ABOUT BLACK WOMEN

Mayer has come under fire for his remarks about African-American women.

Playboy Asked, "Do black women throw themselves at you?"

Mayer Responded: "I don't think I open myself to it. My d*ck is sort of like a white supremacist. I've got a Benetton heart and a fu*kin'David Duke c*ck. I'm going to start dating separately from my d*ck. ...I always thought Holly Robinson Peete was gorgeous. Every white dude loved Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. And Kerry Washington. She's super hot and she's also white-girl crazy. Kerry Washington would break your heart like a white girl. Just all of a sudden she'd be like, 'Yeah, I sucked his d*ck. Whatever.'"

Reaction To His Comments:

Katheryn Russell-Brown, director of the Center for the Study of Race and Race Relations at the University of Florida, tells UsMagazine.com that Mayer seems to be saying "black women are not just not his type, they're not in his class. They're beneath him."

Laurie L. Mulvey, co-director of the Race Relations Project at Penn State University, says, "Both white people and people of color will be offended by Mayer commenting so flippantly about an issue that has caused so much pain in this culture, especially to black women."

Mayer Offers Tweet Apology:

After getting wind of the controversy, Mayer posted a series of Tweets on Wednesday (February 10th) apologizing for using the N-word and being so candid in the interviews, but not about insulting black women. "Re: using the 'N word'in an interview: I am sorry that I used the word. And it's such a shame that I did because the point I was trying to make was in the exact opposite spirit of the word itself," he posted. "It was arrogant of me to think I could intellectualize using it, because I realize that there's no intellectualizing a word that is so emotionally charged.

"And while I'm using today for looking at myself under harsh light," he continued. "I think it's time to stop trying to be so raw in interviews. It started as an attempt to not let the waves of criticism get to me, but it's gotten out of hand and I've created somewhat of a monster. I wanted to be a blues guitar player. And a singer. And a songwriter. Not a shock jock. I don't have the stomach for it.

"Again, because I don't want anyone to think I'm equivocating: I should have never said the word and I will never say it again."
