Fiona Apple Records Benefit Song

This spring, Fiona Apple will be out with her first new recording in five years. According to RollingStone.com, the track was written by Los Angeles music students participating in a songwriting program coordinated by the non-profit, 826LA. The song will appear on Chickens In Love, a benefit compilation album for 826LA, due out on April 20th.

Apple's last album, Extraordinary Machine, came out in 2005. She hasn't done much in the way of music since her 2007 tour. But last month, she resurfaced to host a Haiti benefit concert in Los Angeles.
