Oasis Brothers Skipping Brit Awards?

By: Don Kaye

Former Oasis members and brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are undecided about whether they will attend the Brit Awards, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys, next Tuesday (February 16th) in London. According to Gigwise.com, the band's second album, 1995's What's The Story (Morning Glory)?, is nominated for a special "Best Brits Album of 30 Years" award, but it unclear whether either or both brothers will attend the event following their nasty split last August.

The Gallaghers have reportedly not spoken with each other since the split, which happened after they allegedly came to blows just before a concert in Paris.

A source told the U.K.'s Daily Mirror, "Things are so bad that Noel is moving into a new house at the moment and is so off radar, Liam doesn't even know the address . . . Every day the Brits are on the phone checking to see if they are coming but there is still no answer from either of them."

The source added, "It's as if one is waiting for the other to crack and apologize. Liam's thinking he'll leave it until the last minute and will decide if he's going on the day itself." Liam is reportedly more likely to attend than Noel.

Liam has put together a new band with two other former members of Oasis and plans to begin recording this spring, while Noel will make his debut as a solo artist next month at a benefit concert in London.
